A challenging design to relocate an existing social services day centre onto a new site footprint at only 20% of the original area. The replacement building comprises a fully inclusive design housing treatment rooms, therapy suites, meeting facilities, offices and administration over four storeys on the old cinema site.
Brenden liaised with a client nominated external Manchester City Council Access Officer and a group of centre managers, staff and users on all matters relating to access and inclusion. The group were involved from feasibility and site selection stages through to the completion and opening of the building.
