The oldest portion of the development site including ‘The Bells’ adjacent to the Leeds Minster at Church Row this 17th century listed building was saved from the brink of collapse and together with our clients, APN and Leeds Brewery, 2HA gained approvals from LCC planners and the Leeds Civic Society to restore the former public house to become a classic part of the Leeds Brewery stable. The opportunity was taken to open up the interior exposing the original structure and adding internal and external balcony spaces with outdoor terraces taking in views of the minster whilst maintaining the Leeds Brewery ethos and following the tradition of other Leeds establishments The Midnight Bell and Crowd of Favours.
