A new build leisure/health club hotel on a sensitive site adjacent to a the Grade 2 Listed Spenfield House and gardens. The main contractor was Sisk UK and the building was completed in 1997. Brenden Harrison acted as clients appointed Architectural consultant through planning, design and construction of the hotel and leisure club. The new hotel designed by Brenden and influenced by the neighbouring listed buildings was to become the standard De Vere newbuild format for the next decade. The hotel consists of 154 bedrooms, a health & fitness spa, a 25 metre freeform pool, a sauna and a steam room, gym, aerobics studio and squash courts, a restaurant, 3 function rooms and a pub/bar.
